Howgate Health Project
Howgate Health Project is aimed at reaching as many people as possible.
We would like to offer activities that would be acceptable to both youngsters and the older generation i.e. Firstly through our Country Market - the promotion of healthy eating with fresh vegetables, fruit and meat on their doorstep, supports local traders. We would like to encourage as much active participation with short mat bowling, mini badminton, yoga class, walking group etc.
Active fun with music, interaction for all ages and abilities from babies to teenagers and beyond. Music, singing, games and exercises with props.
Survival Activities for adults and children. Outdoor activities, learning about the environment, building dens, learning how to make fires safe in the country side.
With the current financial climate people who may no longer be able to attend classes or clubs out with the village will have a service directly on their doorstep.
We would also like to hold educational talks or workshops on healthy eating, budget cook for one.
This is currently an on going project.
