Howgate Community Group

The Howgate Community Group has been established to represent the local community in the acquisition of the Church of Scotland property to ensure the community continues to actively benefit from the property and facilities.

We are working alongside the HVHA and HCC as we strive to save what we have here in Howgate.

Our aim is to save the Glebe for everyone to have access to whether it be dog walkers, a safe place for children to play on or for older members of our community who want somewhere to meet. It is the last piece of green space and we are looking at ways to preserve and develop it and avoid Howgate becoming a dormant satellite hamlet. We would in the long term hope to build a fit for purpose hub on the glebe, which would be able to take on all the groups already using the village hall.
